for Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) processing
In the Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) moulding process we use SMC hot pressing for series production parts (SMC: Sheet Moulding Compound). We have presses of up to 2,000 tonnes clamping force for the manufacture of glass reinforced plastic moulded parts. The very high clamping forces in the FRP processing require robust steel tools. These tools are produced in close cooperation with external tool manufacturers. Steel tools enable a long working life (> 50,000 glass reinforced plastic moulded parts).
Chrome-plated tools are used for processing specially smooth or textured surfaces.
